Keith Jarrett Concert

Yesterday Teppei and I went to go see Keith Jarrett in concert at the Ueno Bunka Kaikan. It was awesome…. The way he plays piano is so soft and precise, it was like listening to a CD. Teppei really seemed to enjoy it also, as he was so excited and concentrating so hard. After the concert we went back to my place and hurried over to get to Ozam before it closed. I spent about 40 dollars on groceries and then finally got home. Teppei cooked like a buta don for me while I showered, then we played video games till like 3 in the morning. He still wanted to play so he kept on playing probably till about 3:30 then he finally got to bed. I woke up at 7… quite grouchy and very tired. I needed extra coffee this morning, and to make a sucky work day even suckier, we stayed at the office the whole day. The weather here in Tokyo is starting to get really hot… I know as soon as I get home im gonna turn on the AC, make something for dinner and just frieken pass out. I also wanna try canyoning and white water rafting! Maybe ill save some money and go in June! Yay!

Golden Week

My first Golden Week as a salaryman has come and gone. All in all it was a great vacation. I moved into my new place, played Wii, saw a couple movies and finally seemed to soothe myself. Risking the chance of jinxing myself i feel a little hesistant to continue writing in this blog. After all, i do only write when i feel like there is something unsettling on my mind. Nonetheless, here i am... Perhaps it is from the lack of stimulation at work... In any case, lets just recap the weekend. On thursday i went to dinner with the Yoshida;s who have finally opened their Hawaiian Specialty store. I will be tutoring Mr and Mrs Yoshida once a week on fridays. They have also introduced me to their friends who have heard good things and want to try and learn English. If all goes as planned and im a little lucky, i should be able to score about 12500 yen for an hour. MUAH HAHAHAHA frieken 4 times a month and thats 50000!holy shit thats like rent! only for 4 hours of work! But, i enjoy teaching them english so i dont think its going to be too much a chore. In any case im looking forward to it and am hoping to egt even more students. Friday, i went to the movies with Misaki... the new friend i made... i dont know... this sounds kinda bad but i dont really like her too much haha. Shes so desperate to find a guy and i dont know if i should be hanging out with people like that for a while. We:ll see.... Then that night, teppei came back from Camp and we had din din together and played Wii. I told him i wanted to go watch spiderman 3 some time during the weekend but he told me he hadnt seen any of the other spiderman movies. So i made brownies and we had a Spiderman marathon. yes... we watched both spiderman and just kinda lounged around. It was a good weekend. This week tuesday we:re going to go watch Keith Jarret in concert at the Ueno Bunka-kan. Im so excited to see the jazz legend in concert and im sure teppei is just about to burst with excitement.
I think the best thing about this weekend though was the sense of peace that i was able to get. Theres a lot of reasons, however i know its still way to early to admit being totally fine. Anyway it was a good weekend ;)

New Apartment

I moved into my new apartment building yesterday. I took half the day off from work (although im not really sure why i came to work in the first place since all i did was sit there...)and rushed back to the apt to begin the move. After picking up lunch from KFC and getting Teppei his favorite Caramel Macchiato, i picked up the key and hurried home. But i must admit, this apartment is ALOT nicer and i love it. The walk in closet, the bar, the kitchen and the bathroom are all a lot nicer than my previous places here in Japan. I'll have to post some pictures when i finish setting everything up. Its not really decorated or anything right now, so its got a little empty feeling to it, but that'll soon change. Teppei went shopping for me and cooked din din (Snow Pea and Sausage Peperoccino Pasta), it was pretty good.
Another thing i noticed is that im really negative and grouchy in the morning. I should try to fix this... i dont know though... haha Im just going to have to try not to be so negative in the morning.

For myself

I dont know why i always start these blogs always to know that when i dont feel like writing in it anymore i wont. I think short entries are the best, with simple and straightforward themes. I move into my new place today. Teppeis gonna help out and im happy to be moving somewhere where i dont have to worry about moving for a while. The big tv is coming and i cant wait to order some cable. Last night teppei and i talked about him studying abroad in America. I told him i would take him and he seemed hesistant however, i told him in the end that no matter what he decided i would support him 100 percent. I think that really touched him and he told me he loved me and said thank you. I think the lesson to be learned from this is that he takes his time to think and is not spontaneous. The best thing to do is to offer help and just let him figure it out. Dont push, just offer. Rejection is not a relfection of love or self worth.
